Why “The Dwelling”?

Dlieberknecht   -
As a church, we are about two main things – creating space for people to DWELL with God & to DWELL in community with each other.
Our name comes from John 1:14 –
“The Word became flesh and made his DWELLING among us.
We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son,
who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
God made His DWELLING with us through the life of Jesus and there is nothing more powerful than living in light of knowing God wants to be WITH you. But for a lot of people, there are barriers and hurdles that keep us from fully experiencing the power & presence of Jesus in our lives. As a church, we want to break down those walls so more people can experience the love & hope of Jesus for themselves and experience the fullness of life He has for them.
Just as important as creating space for people to DWELL with God is our heart to be a community where people can truly belong. We are just as interested in sharing life together Monday through Saturday as we are sharing Sundays together.  There is something so meaningful that happens when people are comfortable enough to come just as they are and open themselves up to deeper relationships with others.
