Mission Statement, Part 1: Make Disciples

At The Dwelling Church, our mission is clear - we are committed to seeing people encounter and give their lives to Jesus through the teaching of the scriptures. We take Jesus' commission to His followers seriously: To go and make disciples of all people, baptizing them into the church family, and teaching them how to live a life of obedience according to Jesus’ teachings.
While Sunday services are certainly one of those opportunities, we feel strongly that Monday through Saturday are equally as important. Each person has been uniquely positioned in their cities, their families, their workplaces, and their places of recreation so that they can live a compelling faith and share who Jesus is with others.
The Dwelling Church exists to empower the church to BE the Church, and take this message of love, hope, and grace out to our community so more people discover the beauty of the gospel and want to be a part of the family of disciples.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)We want to partner with God in creating opportunities for people to embrace the good news that Jesus has offered a new way of living that leads to fullness of life. We want to be a place where people who are skeptical, cynical, curious, or confused can come and explore Jesus and faith in a safe place that will welcome them without judgment.
