Michael was born and raised in San Diego, CA, but moved to Northern Nevada in 2014 with his wife, Denise, and their two kids, Emery and Cason. The Lieberknecht's came to Carson City in 2024 to launch The Dwelling Church with a heart to create space for people to dwell with God and find a place to belong. Michael's heart is to see people grow in their pursuit of Jesus and follow him 7 days a week, in every area of their lives. He possesses a B.S. in Christian Ministries w/ a Minor in Biblical Literature from Indiana Wesleyan University as well as an M.A. in Transformational Leadership from Bethel Seminary out of St. Paul, MN. He loves good coffee, playing sports and being outdoors, and getting competitive in a board game with his family.
